Driving to Cairns on Bruce H'way, turn left at Palmerston H'way
turnoff (4 km). Drive approx. 30 kms to Wooroonooran Nat. Park.
This park has much to offer. Vantage points along the highway
(Crawford's Lookout) give views of the Johnstone River Gorge.
There are many picnic and swimming spots such as Henrietta & Goolagan's
Creek &
self-guided walks.
Go back towards Innisfail, take South Johnstone turnoff on right
and take a scenic drive along Henderson Drive to Wangan, then Innisfail.

Driving north to Cairns turn off & drive 8 km to Josephine Falls
carpark. This is the starting point for Broken Nose & the Summit
treks. Take picnic lunch, 10 min. walk through beautiful rainforest
to spectacular Falls.

Returning, turn right to The Golden Hole Recreational Area. Shelter,
toilets provided at this large, deep waterhole. Rock climbing
upstream is delightful for the surefooted.
